TFD-2 shown processing prints on official document

A new application note, available to download now, lists the wide variety of paper types on which latent fingerprints can be detected using the TFD-2, a new chemical free development technique pioneered by Foster + Freeman.

The TFD-2 is a unique instrument that offers unrivaled speed and efficiency when developing latent prints on paper with typical development times of between 15 and 60 seconds. In the newly available application note the TFD-2 was used to process a variety of common paper types including banknotes, office paper, Post-it notes, and newspaper.

The application note provides guidance on optimum device settings for varying paper types as well as detailing other factors that may have an effect on the development process.
