Japanese police order twenty VSC2000

A recent order for twenty VSC2000 systems for Japan highlights the increasing awareness of law enforcement agencies in the far east to Foster & Freeman's new technology. The order was placed by The National Police Dept. and is to improve document examination facilities in a number of regional police laboratories

"The order is particularly gratifying as it has taken several years of patient negotiation and several visits to build customer confidence in our products", commented Leslie Hawkes, Business Development Manger." Without doubt, the key to our success in Japan has been our local distributor who has had the patience to develop the market with us."

Other on-going negotiations in the region are taking place in China and Indonesia. The Chinese authorities are particularly interested in Raman spectroscopy and have ordered two FORAM 685 systems to evaluate the technique. The company also expects to announce a large order for VSC2000 systems for China during year 2000.
