New high resolution video camera is PC compatible

Foster & Freeman are now offering the high-resolution video camera that it fits into its VSC2000/HR document examination workstation, as a stand-alone system. With a pixel density of 1360×1024, the camera, designated the CV/HR, is ideal for mounting on to a microscope to provide high-resolution video images.

The CV/HR is a 3-CDD system and operates through a PC via a frame grabber interface. The camera is supplied complete with full operating software.

As the CV/HR is compatible with the VSC2000/HR, a microscope fitted with the camera can be coupled to the same PC as the ‘VSC’, allowing images from both systems to be displayed on the same monitor. In this arrangement many of the VSC’s image processing functions can also be applied to images downloaded from the microscope including image integration, inset, hold, mix, strobe and save to disk.

The company will be pleased to offer full details, specifications and advice on the CV/HR and on the assembly of video microscopes or other high-resolution video imaging systems.
