VISPEC 2 - passport & document verification system

A video based inspection system for the verification of passports, travel documents, identity cards and banknotes.

VISPEC 2 is designed to verify the authenticity of documents bearing a wide variety of standard security features.

VISPEC 2 enables you to:

• Verify the presence of UV activated fluorescent features and fibres.
• Assess the level of paper fluorescence.
• Check watermarks and metallic strips.
• Examine the quality of embossed stamps and intaglio printing.
• Inspect retro-reflective features.
• Check holograms and other DOVD's (defractive optically variable devices).

The high resolution, high magnification imaging of VISPEC 2 also enables an operator to check alterations to a passport's construction such as irregularities in the lamination of a photograph or to the documents binding.

All images are displayed in colour on a 17" TFT monitor at magnifications ranging from x3 to x42 and may be permanently recorded by simply adding a video printer to the video output socket. For additional image processing facilities, VISPEC 2 may be upgraded by connection to an optional PC.

VISPEC 2 Document Imaging Software Suite

VISPEC 2 can be enhanced by adding a PC or laptop via a USB 2.0 port and installing the Document Imaging Software Suite. The software suite provides enhanced image processing facilities and full VISPEC 2 operation from the PC.
