An extra large, hermetically sealed chamber for the safe and controlled development of latent fingerprints by cyanoacrylate (superglue) fuming.

Features include:

  • large capacity for treating doors & car parts
  • automatic operation
  • comprehensive health & safety features
  • internal fume cleansing

Extra capacity
The extra large capacity of the MVC-5000 fuming cabinet increases laboratory efficiency by enabling more and larger items to be treated per cycle. Full size domestic doors and car seats easily fit inside the chamber, which has an internal volume of 2 cubic metres and internal height of over 2 metres. Hanging rails and removable shelves are also provided for smaller items.

Foster Freeman’s rugged design ensures a long working life. The walk-in chamber is constructed of a robust anodised aluminium frame and fitted with toughened glass windows, which are easy to clean and provide excellent all round visibility, enabling the operator to monitor print development on every item.

Automatic or Manual operation
Operation under automatic control, the processes of humidification, fuming and fume cleansing proceed without operator intervention according to a preset programme. Under manual control each phase of the process is initiated seperately, enabling the operator to extend or reduce the fuming process for best results.

During the development process fans continually circulate the atmosphere to ensure even development while sensors monitor and control the internal humidity to maintain optimum conditions.

Self-contained fume cleansing system
The MVC 5000 utilises two internal, high capacity, fan driven, activated carbon filters to cleanse the chamber after fuming. The system is low maintenance, only required filter replacement after every 80 cleansing cycles

Health & Safety features
Properly maintained, the MVC 5000 will provide a safe working environment for the operator, ensuring exposure to cyanoacrylate vapour is below the Occupational Exposure Standard required by the UK Health and Safety Executive, currently 0.3ppm. Following installation, by the company's engineers, each instrument is tested to provide proof of compliance to the safety standard.

Service and maintenance
To ensure continued safe operation, regular maintenance contracts are available.
