Low angle linear light source for locating shoe prints, fibres and particulate evidence

The Crime-lite® 80L is a new high intensity forensic light source fitted with 16 LED arrays and a cylindrical focusing lens that produces an intense linear beam of even white light. The Crime-lite® 80L is used for locating evidence at the crime scene and is particularly effective in highlighting fibres and shoe prints.

Emitting 8 watts of usable light, the Crime-lite® 80L is brighter than most forensic light sources fitted with conventional lamps between 400W - 1kW.

The Crime-lite® 80L can be powered from either a rechargeable battery pack or AC mains power.

Crime-lite® 80L features and accessories:

  • Linear light source with 16 × 5W LED's
  • AC mains adaptor.
  • Rechargeable battery pack with carrying pouch and shoulder strap provides 45 minutes of operation.
  • Telescopic pole for ease of use when examining floors or difficult to reach areas.
  • Clip-on red, green and blue filters for improving contrast when examining evidence on coloured backgrounds.
  • Mounting arm and clamp for attaching the light source to a tripod.
  • Tough, waterproof and shock resistant carrying case.
  • Gel lifting films for retrieving evidence.
